 | | Once again, I'm getting my USEIT2026 card in towards the end of the week.
This card started with me gathering a bunch of paper scraps that I thought would coordinate well with each other. Tearing them into even smaller pieces, I glued them to some scrap cardstock until I'd covered as much of the surface as I wanted. Then I trimmed the edges to get rid of any overhang.
In order to create more cohesion, as well as adding interest to some of the plain papers, I dabbed on some Lumiere Pearl Emerald paint.
Because the sticker had a lot of white areas, I adhered it to white cardstock, before trimming out a square around it. Then I framed the square with green cardstock.
I stamped the word "Brave" on white cardstock, and gave it a matching frame.
After adhering everything to the scrap collage paper, I decided I wanted to add the velvet leaf. In order for it to have a bit of movement, I used a brad to hold it in place.
Lastly, I mounted everything to a green card base.
When I made this card, I didn't consciously have Merida from the movie "Brave" in mind, but it certainly works for her. |
