Hello ladies. It's wonderful to see everyone's names again.
I have a great stash of ribbons that I was excited to use for today's challenge - but without a theme to guide the ribbon choices, I wasn't sure what to do, so I let myself explore creatively.
This is what happens when I do. lol.
I actually like the card. I think it turned out pretty well. I downloaded the logo, isolated it, printed it, and then cut everything with the Scan 'N Cut, which did an impressive job on the cutting. The white triangles are pieced onto a red background, and I glued the rest of the pieces.
The sentiment I chose "sometimes good enough is all you need" is for humor. I'm not a beer drinker, but the sentiment for Pabst Blue Ribbon beer seems to be 'good enough.' Perhaps more cards should be made for occasions like this. You didn't do badly. You didn't do good. But it works. Well done.
Thanks for looking.

Fun design Brian, nice to see a card from you in today's challenge, this could be a French design, blue, red and white and beer!! I think it's even better than good enough

Great card and it is good to see you sharing today. In the UK we use the expression "it's not the winning it's the taking part" - your message sort of ties in with that.

I like the upbeat sentiment and your write-up. We used to have, I think they came from my grandmother's house, a china jug and two small matching vases. The jug said something like "the best is not good enough" Andy my mother never liked it - she would have agreed far more with your sentiment. I think she ended up sellimg them...
I like the hop cone swag.

So glad to see you, Brian! This is wonderful. I think this card and the humor would be great for many occasions. Good enough is something to celebrate in my world these days. Fab idea and execution with the scan and cut and the ribbon. Hugz

My DH grew up in Wisconsin and Pabst was a very popular beer during that time. I remember that slogan from their ads. Fun card. Scan n Cut is a great machine for cutting the details.

The bold graphic look of the logo works so well with your clean layout, and the way you pieced the white triangles over the red base gives the whole design a crisp, intentional structure. The ribbon accents add just the right touch of texture without competing with the focal point. The sentiment lands with great humor, and the overall composition feels confident and cleverly balanced.
