For Lisa's Ways to Use It challenge, we are finding ways to use ribbon. I used the ribbon on an inlaid ornament. First I cut the tag, then die-cut the ornament from the tag. Cut another ornament from green cardstock, wrapped the ribbon around it, and placed it back in the negative space on the tag. The tag is popped up on foam tape. The card is also an entry for my VSN Challenge to choose a card in your gallery and remake/improve it (JAN26VSNG ~ Improving your Performance ~ Sat Jan 31 @ 3 pm ET by stampingwriter at Splitcoaststampers ). I revised this card: F4A233 Ribbon ornament by stampingwriter at Splitcoaststampers. I kept the idea of the ribbon on the ornament (I would have used the same ornament die but I couldn't find it ) Changes include making the square into a tag, adding a music theme, and simplifying the smaller background panel from two patterned papers to a solid-colored, embossed strip. VSN Challenges are open through Monday if you want to play in any of them, so check out the VSN forum.

This was a great idea! Using a bookmark/tag on the card. I really think this is a great Christmas card to have!

Beautiful card, Sandy. I love the ribbon and how you used the music theme to coordinate with it. The ornament on the tag is terrific. Nicely done with both challenges!

Very pretty card! Love your update, but the original is great, too!

The inlaid ornament looks so polished with the ribbon wrapped neatly around the die‑cut shape, and placing it back into the tag gives such a clean, finished look. The music‑themed background ties everything together beautifully, and the embossed notes add great texture. A thoughtful remake with smart updates that really elevate the original design.
