ABC24B2 February 4, 2026 - Letter B - blue, brown, black
My colors for this card are Blue and Brown.
I used light blue for the dog's winter gear, the sentiment, and the snowflake. I used dark blue for the frame, the dog's heart collar, and the enamel dot. I used brown for the background layer and the dog's fur. All these colors are represented in the patterned paper as well.
I started with the patterned paper and layered this onto brown solid paper showing as a small border all the way around. I die cut the frame from dark blue solid paper and inlaid a white center to use as the background for the focal image and sentiment.
I stamped, colored, and fussy cut the dog image. I stamped again on light blue solid paper and fussy cut the hat and scarf to paper piece onto the original image. Then I did the same for the dog's heart collar on dark blue solid paper. I stamped and die cut the sentiment in a coordinating light blue color. For a final touch, I die cut the snowflake and added an enamel dot in the center.
My dog does not have a hat or a scarf, but he was bundled in three layers this weekend when we had snow and arctic temps in the teens. It was his first snow since I adopted him 2.5 years ago, and he loved it, but could barely waddle in a sweater and two coats!
