A card for Marcia and Stan, who are going through some very troubling times and could use some encouragement. They are strong believers, so I went with a cross and sentiment reminding them they are not alone.
I die cut the floral cross out of designer paper which I also used to frame the image. We were challenged to use wood textures, so I also cut the cross out of woodgrain wallpaper sample and adhered it to the cross which I had raised up with several layers of cardstock underneath. I then stamped the You are not alone sentiment and glued it to the cross.
Inside stamped sentiment reads The Lord Himself goes before you & will be with you; He will never leave you nor forsake you. DO not be afraid; do not be discouraged. Deuteronomy 31:8.
I hope our cards bring Marcia and Stan encouragement.

This is SO nice. I love the way the background coordinates with the rest of the cross cutout. Very nice. And the idea of using a wooden cross is great. Very nicely done. Love it.

That cross is just beautiful, Linda. What a lovely die. I like the way you used the same paper for the base layer and the decorative element behind the cross. That's a really encouraging verse inside, too.
