 | | The problems with getting a jump on my card for this week, is my brain does not stop creating, just because I had completed my card. This was the second card I created for this Color Challenge. I decided to forego the bolder version of these colors and went with something soft and dreamy. This card was inspired by a card I saw on Pinterest. I could not figure out who the artist was so am unable to give proper credit. I did change out some of the colors to fit into the Challenge.
I started by stamping the main image in Petal Pink and used a Crumb Cake marker for the stems, I die cut the image using the coordinating dies to cut out both the frame and the inside detail. With a blender pen I blended Real Red ink onto some of the foliage. Here and there I also added a touch of Crumb Cake. I created a background on my card base by masking the edges with torn Post It tape, then used blending brushes and a very light touch with the challenge colors. I mounted my foliage frame with Dimensionals on a white rectangle that I distressed the edges on. Then I cut a slightly larger rectangle from two tone Petal Pink CS and distressed the edges on this piece, too. This was mounted onto the base card. I stamped some additional foliage with stamped off Highland Heather ink and again added Real Red and Crumb Cake ink with a blender pen. I added these to my foliage frame. I stamp a greeting and punched it with a circle punch. I colored some small pearls to embellish and added a twine bow. Then I spattered with some Wink of Stella. No dessert on this card. |
