Brenda has given us the challenge of mining in the mountains - or at least mountains. Since I live near where the gold was discovered that created the gold rush of 1849, you'd think I might have some mining things in my stamp collection...but I don't. I do, however, have this mountainscape stencil set from Simon Says Stamp so I pulled it out to get it inky. I definitely need some practice with it. After stenciling, I added some texture to the green foreground and die cut it. I added a wood grain embossed layer for added texture and everything is adhered flat to make it easy to mail.
Thanks for the challenge and thanks for looking!

You know, I nearly ordered the mountain stencils... Sorry now that I'd wish-listed it, and now I have to pay taxes. So sad. Thanks for playing along with the gold mining challenge.

So lovely! Great design, with the mountains in the circle as a focal point over the EF woodgrain background. Now I want that stencil set, too! :-)

The layered scene you created with the mountains framed in the circle is so striking, and the soft blend of sky colors gives the whole piece a peaceful glow. The added texture in the foreground and the woodgrain panel work beautifully together, giving depth without adding bulk. A wonderful way to showcase that stencil set.
