This VSN26 Challenge is Make It Icy. The Black Ice Technique is an old process that I love to do, and it happened to pop into my mind when I read the challenge. It is from Melissa Kerman, and I followed her video here.
It's fascinating how colors change when you put them next to a surface like this. I'd backed the panel with black and the base is Boho Blue. But when I used Boho Blue to sponge on the sentiment over a little Basic black, it appeared greener. So I added some Highland Heather, and VOILA, it was better!

This is beautiful! We both thought of the same technique and I love your card. Beautiful trees. I never appreciated the "sound" of silence until I had my oldest!

The black ice finish gives this scene such a striking sense of stillness. The way the silver panel shifts the ink colors is fascinating, and your added Highland Heather brings a beautiful balance to the sentiment. The trees look crisp and serene against that reflective surface, and the black matting frames everything with quiet drama.
