 | | We are celebrating the 2026 Winter Olympics with VSN Go For The Gold!
And where does gold come from? Well, it's mined in the mountains, of course, and Brenda (tessaduck) has given us a VSN challenge to celebrate the gold mining industry and history: Mining The Gold
My card celebrates the beauty of the golden glow that the mountains get when the sun sets behind them. Fortunately I already had masks for these mountains in this stamp set, so I stamped them a few times across the CS with Balmy Night ink, masked them, and ink-blended the sky and the ground. Removed the masks and colored the mountains with colored pencils, adding some "snow" with the gel pen.
Stamped the verse with Onyx Black, and the flowers with Balmy Night. Added the bits of grass with a colored pencil to cover up an "oops" from an inky finger. :-) TFL!
Come and play along with us in VSN Go For The Gold! You have until 11:00 p.m. ET Monday, February 9, 2026, to upload your creations to the VSN Gallery!
