For JAN26VSNE, Lisa has asked us to feature goldfish. To create the fish bowl, I die-cut a circle of watercolor paper, then sliced off part of the top and bottom of the circle to achieve a fishbowl shape. Stamped and gold-embossed the fish, then watercolored the water in blue and added sparkly gold watercolor paint to the parts of the fish that aren't gold-embossed. Adhered microbeads to the bottom of the bowl. Sentiment is mounted on a gold scrap. The Navy panel is splattered with the same sparkly gold paint that's on the fish. (Microbeads and the patterned paper are both ancient and are the USEIT items.)

Wow, such a clever and creative card! Love how you 'repurposed' a circle die-cut to create your wonderful fishbowl for those cute fish! Love the navy background, and the gold splatters, too!

Such a charming take on the challenge, with that hand‑cut fishbowl adding so much personality. The gold embossing and touches of shimmer give the fish beautiful dimension, and the microbeads create a perfect sense of texture at the bottom of the bowl. The navy panel with its gold splatter pulls everything together in a striking, elegant way.

Great card! That was a clever way to make a fish bowl shape, and I love the way you used the micro beads to represent the gravel at the bottom of the bowl.
