Layers of ink
I had such fun creating this grungy tag and it is much easier to do than it might look. I used a die set to create the background in combination with gesso, paint and silver embossing powder. The hearts are made from foil tape.
Die cut the background grid shapes and glue to the tag. Cover everything with gesso and leave to dry. Paint with Distress Paint and mist with water to blend. Wipe some paint off. Apply embossing ink here and there and emboss with silver powder. Finish by dry brushing brown and black paint on the background.
Cover cardstock with foil tape and die cut hearts. Emboss in an embossing folder. Paint with Distress Paint and before the paint is completely dry, wipe some of it off. Die cut the hearts from black cardstock too.
Stamp sentiments on left-over inky paper and cut out. Add beads, ribbons and gems.
