Layers of ink
I wanted to use this snowman in my art journal and placed him in a made up landscape of rolling, snowy hills. This is easy to do with pens, stamps and watercolors. The snow is both splattered and white embossed.
Stamp the snowman and then draw hills with a black pen. Make the line thicker towards the front. White emboss branches and snowflakes.
Start painting the hills with watercolor paint, making them darker towards the back. Leave some of the paper white.
Paint the snowman and add shadows. Stamp sentiments. Splatter a little white gouache on the page.
