 | | For this week's tea party, we're making cards with a cozy theme. Although my diet no longer allows me to indulge in cookies or pies, the smell of something baking still fills me with warmth and comfort.
The card itself came together quickly. I started with the main image, and fussy cut the coordinating sentiment.
For the frame around it, I chose a piece of burlap patterned paper from a pad that I got at a thrift shop ages ago. No one wants to snuggle up with a piece of burlap, but I thought it was a nice continuation of the "rustic" vibe.
I attached the sentiment with foam tape to add a bit of dimension. Lastly, I added the cookie, which is a button with the shank cut off.
It was -7 Fahrenheit this morning, so I certainly enjoyed thinking about cozy things. I hope everyone stays safe and warm! |
