This card refused to stay closed so I made the belly band to hold it together but it springs open when it's removed!
I started with a C6 card base that I folded, then cut to 9cm wide. I cut the front from top left to hottom right to make a triangle. I felt I needed a bit more to the tree so I cut single triangles that are 9cm at the base. To join these together, I made some hinges by scoring a 2cm strip of card down the centre and using these to join three triangles to the base card. I didn't want these hinges to be visible when the card is open or closed so I added further triangles to cover these so the tree is quite bulky.
DP is from Craft Consortium, I thought it looked like wallpaper!
