This week's Teaparty is for Susan, who is battling cancer. Jen (Jennifrann) is our hostess, and her challenge for us is to create A Garden of Comfort with our cards, featuring "quilted gardens", as Susan loves to garden and is also an avid quilter.
I followed the directions in the Disappearing Nine Patch card tutorial to create the "quilt" in the background of my card. I did some faux stitching with the fine line marker. The background panel of Misty Moonlight CS was embossed with the Crafter's Companion EF that looks like stitching on a quilt (hard to see in the photo).
Stamped the flowers and leaves on the watercolor paper and watercolored them and die-cut them. Stamped the Bible verse directly onto the nine-patch "quilt".
I hope this card will bring Susan some comfort. TFL!

This card is So Pretty LizBeth! I like the idea of the disappearing 9-patch used in the bg. Beautiful flowers and Bible verse. Very soothing creation and pleasing to the eye. Thank you for taking the time to make this card for Susan~

Truly a beautiful card with the flowers backed by the comforting quilt, LizBeth. Lots of patience and precision in the faux stitching....and like how the back panel has the feeling of stitching too.
