Color Challenge:

Mary has selected Pretty Peacock, Wild Wheat, Berry Burst, and Night of Navy as this week's Challenge colors. I included them all in this painting but the Berry came out a lot lighter than I intended and my blues are off a little.

Stacy has selected a lovely tutorial/video from Emma Jane Lefebvre for this week's challenge. I combined what I learned from Emma with a video from Sophia Rodionov (canotstoppainting on Instagram) on how to do colorful birch trees.

Love your birch tree markings in these beautiful colors. An unusual up close perspective where it seems I am looking between them. Love it.

I just love the blues in the tree trunks so very much Nancy, this has such a real you are in the woods feel to me with the trunks so up close.
