Pink and Gold Fold
Added to Favorite

Photo Details
Poster: jkanack

The TLC today, hosted by Sabrina, is the tutorial 'napkin fold' in the tutorial section. It took me a while to find a paper I wanted to use, since I figure it would be best to use paper with all-over pattern. This is SU paper, Valentine I think from last year's mini, but it won't be a Valentine card. I'm not showing the inside since there isn't anything there yet. The fold was pretty easy, except that 1) I had to refold to get the metallic leaf pattern to be the main pattern and 2) how I got the fold so I could do the last fold of the corners is anyone's guess. I did it several times, it came together but it was puzzling to me. You know me, inside out, backwards, clueless. i'm guessing this will be a birthday card eventually. Thanks, Sabrina, I will make more, equally clueless-ly.

This is glorious! I looked at the tutorial but it's beyond me, lol. So hats off to your cleverness in making this amazing card!

I love your pretty paper, but wasn't it difficult to fold ? it looks like heavy DSP, anyway, I like the pretty layers and I'm glad you've managed to do this fold

Not your normal colours ar so, but very pretty indeed. It could work as a wedding card too, I think.
I also think that that corner fold is what is often referred to as a "squash fold" in origami, which might help as a concept.

I like the way the center die cut vines echo the leaves on the paper! Nice!
