 | | I put together a little seaside scene with my many sea-themed dies, after an idea I saw on the internet.
I didn't have any sand-type paper, so I got a piece of watercolour paper and painted various loose strips of browns and ochres over the whole sheet. Once dry, I splattered white ink and copper mixed with the white over the entire surface (and in a foot-wide radius of the paper, including the wooden floor!). Then I die-cut some shells out of it, and other sea creatures out of complementary papers, and converted three house dies into a row of boatsheds. I added a fence made to look like a wharf but I didn't have crossbeams, so it just looks like a fence, lol. Once everything was laid out and glued down on the rough-edged panel, I added a few highlights with modelling paste pushed through a dot stencil. Risky to do this afterwards, I know, but the scene just looked too bare. Lastly, I mounted the panel onto the card. |
