I went for the eggshell mosaic tutorial: Eggshell Mosaic Background Tutorials at Splitcoaststampers. It's something I've wanted to try for a long time, but the eggs I buy are all brown shells and I wasn't sure how well they would work. But a few weeks ago DH visited friends in the country and came back with some (brown) hens eggs but also some white duck eggs, so I held onto those. I followed the tutorial, and added my mosaic piece to a decorative Spellbinders frame cut from black and buffed with Inka Gold. I added a die-cut flower and a butterfly cut from black Bazzill Bling layered up on a gold one which I covered with orange Stickles. Base is cream. |
