SC1095 & MMTPT910 Swans

This is for this week's Teapot Challenge to use a bird from the 12 days of Christmas song. So I went digging for this swan paper. I'm semi-organized sometimes, so I found it! My paper hoarding paid off.

I combined with the sketch challenge also because I love a big circle! I'm using these flower dies for the first time, but they cut the holes out of the middles, so I glued a little bit of silver paper underneath.

Since we are sending cards to each other this time, I can't wait to send this to a beautiful friend here on Splitcoast.

That swan paper is perfect for the challenge. Great contrast between the black circle and the pastel flowers, and the silver paper was an excellent solution for filling those holes.

That's paper! It's beautiful - I assumed you had a dinky little swan die. And the contrast of the black on the timber is beautiful.
Funny, I never mind die-cut flowers with a hole in the centre, there's always so much you can do to fill it, but I do remember at the time thinking it was a very odd choice to have made in the old SU Vintage Vogue set - I love the flowers in that but it's a struggle to fill the centre. They didn't even provide a circle stamp :-(.

The swan paper creates such a graceful focal point and pairing it with the bold black circle gives the whole design a striking sense of balance. The soft florals frame the scene beautifully, and the silver backing on the die‑cut centers adds just the right touch of shine.
