I made this card for the Teapotter's Monthly card exchange. We were to use a bird from the 12 Days of Christmas song. I chose these classy, sassy "French Hens."

I stamped the 3 birds to overlap one another and colored them with Copic markers. I added Crystal Lacquer to their eyes and a bit of glitter here and there.

Those are really wonderful hens, Gracie.
Did you write the sentiment yourself? It brought back memories of when my dad was in a care home for his last year or so. There was a community garden, and he loved being brought up to that and watching the hens in their coop. But if any had got out, he'd feel that he couldn't leave until they were all back in the coop again, so he'd want me to chase them back in, with him holding the fence up and stopping any more getting out. It got so that I'd pop up to the garden first to make sure they were all safely in, LOL. Thanks for the memory.

I love your sassy hens! I love the saying too. We have 7 hens and they have gotten out, not bc we've left the gate open, but they sometimes fly over the fence and have a heyday under our bird feeders!
