Since this is a clean and simple card I blended pecan pie over the image to tone down the white cardstock. I used a dauber to edge the image with early espresso ink. Then I added it to the designer paper then the card base.

The soft ink blending gives the clock such a warm, vintage presence, and the deeper edging adds just the right amount of contrast. The bokeh background works beautifully with the theme, letting the verse and those elegant clock hands take center stage.
