Birds and Trees
Added to Favorite

Photo Details
Poster: jkanack

I couldn't find the center step tutorial in the drop down box. This is for both challenges today. Love birds and I do like this fold, which I know I've done before.
I used a SSS stamp that I bought at a thrift store in Arizona when I visited Gracie. $1.75!!!!! The set is intended for a slimline card.
I used the long night-sky stamp for a sort-of snowglobe. Everything went fine until I cut the little green tree in the middle, out of a stash background. The die and diecut of the larger tree flipped off the platform and I can't find them. Also the small die seems to have disappeared. I do have a history of looking right at things and not seeing them. Grrrrrrrrrr.
The cardinal is not a stamp, it's a pre-printed postal stamp on an envelope so I cut it out with a postal die. I already had the little robins cut out that are on the trees on the side. We don't have robins here all year and I like that because it gives us something to look forward to in March. Silver Stickles finishes things off.
This is also for the December fan club challenge. Join the fan club and check that out. Thanks for all of these challenges!

I am with you on looking at things and not seeing them when I lose something. lol Your card is a delight. Robins and cardinals...I like all of them. We have a couple of robins that hang around for the winter but most go more south.

A lovely center step card with the pretty birds and lovely winter sky! I'm always losing things in my craft room - drives me nuts!

Wow, Jean, this came out pretty and sounds like a fun adventure while making it. That little postage stamp bird is my favorite part - you are so creative. Fun that you got to visit Gracie and found a great bargain. Really lovely card. Hugz

Yep, I was totally nodding along thinking me as well as I read the story Jean. I love the depth this has with the step fold and all the birds as well

The gallery is the same as the stair step, they're all under one umbrella like easel cards all clump together ;-). I love the way you really used the side steps as part of the whole visual. I hope you find the missing dies without too much frustration.

The whole card is so creative! I think we all look right at something but don’t see it. Happens to me all the time!
