 | | I loved this nice easy sketch for today's card. I've been working on making some recycled Christmas cards. I figure I don't have time to make originals, so I will work on recycling the ones that I received last year. This ended up more of an original that I had expected. The Layered Gesso background started as the back of a store bought Christmas card. It had a loose, snowy scene on it, so I skipped the step in the tutorial that involved random stamping on the paper. I painted the entire thing with gesso and then rubbed some metallic blue Gelatos over it. I finished the panel with Nuvo Glitter Paste through a snowflake stencil. I stamped Let It Snow three times on a scrap of aqua cardstock and then randomly stamped snowflakes over it. Once I assembled the card, I decided to also use my new favorite technique of splattering Liquid Pearls (or rather Nuvo Crystal Drops in this case). |
