I was sick last Friday, then visiting my sister after checking she was happy to have me, then a full work week. So today is my first afternoon upstairs. The stamped and fussy-cut owl has been on my desk for a year, I'm surprised his feet hadn't come off! I coloured him with pencils and then set about trying to find a background. After discarding several stash options, I spritzed some watercolour paper with water and used Brushos. The foreground is SU white velvet paper, torn. The tree ring is a TH Bigz die with a matching ef, coloured with Winsor & Newton watercolours. I draped some ivy over the tree cross-section and perched the owl on top. I added Liquid Pearls to his hat trim, I'll probably add Glossy Accents to his beak and maybe his eyes. Finished off with a sentiment (SU speech bubbles die) and a little ladybird crawling into the scene.
I think it's either steelyard or group mass, DH was going for L.
