This card is for three challenges (details below) but I wanted to explain the sentiment I chose.
This week, my oldest daughter sent me this message about my oldest grandson, and it touched my heart so much:
He prayed, "I hope tomorrow is long." His brother asked him why he prayed for a long day. He said, "because days can never come again."
He is only 10. I thought long and hard about this and I feel like it is a fabulous message for us all. We should all wish the days were long and we should all try to enjoy every minute of them and try to do as much as we can to make ourselves, our families, and the world better. We should not sit around on our phones or watch TV for excessive periods of time - we need to be present.
James 4:14
"Yet you do not know what tomorrow will bring. What is your life? For you are a mist that appears for a little time and then vanishes."
Psalm 90:12
"So teach us to number our days, that we may gain a heart of wisdom. "
Psalm 118:24 "This is the day the Lord has made;
let us rejoice today and be glad in it."
In the IC challenge this week, Kia has us visiting Ruby Lane for inspiration. I was inspired by this beautiful oil painting by Frederick John Mulhaupt.
In the WCW285 challenge this week, Linda presented a lovely video tutorial on painting winter birch and fir trees. I used the frog tape method for the birch trees but switched my scene to Autumn and used more of the inspiration photo from the IC challenge to do my scene.
F4A821 - Angie as us making masculine cards - this fits as I know guys would like this. I am sending it to my grandson who inspired the sentiment I used.
This is also for the ArtNudge1025C - I used the colors and was inspired by the leaves.
