Jean, you know how I feel about fun folds, but I had a lot more fun with this than I expected. Of course I totally lined up the marks wrong and had a couple of scoring incidents. Otherwise, it all went very smoothly. Can you believe I haven't made a card since May? Well, I mean I've slapped a few together for kids' birthday parties, but nothing original or special. Since I'm very out of practice, I just relaxed and let Jean Bean and Lisa Curcio inspire me. First Jean mentioned that it would be a good fold for holiday cards, so I right away decided I would do that. Then I actually watched Lisa's video all the way to the end--which I never do. But at the end she shared a card where she used die cuts from the paper pack to decorate her card. I'm trying to come up with faster ways to make cards in the very very limited amount of free time that I have, so I pulled out my sticker collection and looked for Christmas ones. These die cuts and stickers are from a Spellbinders monthly card kit that I bought at the craft supply market that I went to last year. The paper and applique are also from that sale. This whole card was done pretty quickly with no stamping or coloring. Thanks for being here to inspire a fun morning of crafting. I hope you all have a fantastic day!

You have used some very pretty die-cuts and stickers to make a fun Christmas card, Jen! I like the bits of sparkle and especially the gorgeous skate up front~

I'm so happy for you that you had some card-making time that you enjoyed. I find I feel out of practice even after the weeks away camping, challenges are a great way back in again. Lovely papers, great stickers.

Well, well, well!!!! Since May? Wow. I'm so glad you chose this day to make a card for this technique. And your papers are fabulous, as is the cluster of winter objects in the middle. Areas of Wisconsin down toward the border of IL and WI got over 7 inches of lake effect snow. Yikes!

This is so very stunning! I love the combination of the flowers and the skate. It's so fun, elegant and unexpected. The background papers are really nice too. Thanks so much for playing along with us at Word Art Wednesday!
