 | | Food (or the lack of it) is on everyone's mind, especially right now. Farmers are the most important people there are when it comes to food, its availability and price.
I get a lot of catalogs in the mail (not that I buy from all of them!) and I recently received American Spoon, a company in Petosky, MI that specializes in jams and jellies. I saved it because there were nice photos of jam jars that I thought I could use. i also received an Amazon holiday catalog. The cute potato couple was cut from a bag of those small potatoes that you can microwave.
The main background piece is rusted paper. It was a technique on Stencil Girl a while back, using steel wool and alcohol (maybe?)...can't find it on the site. I think you can see it through the main stamp. I stamped the old CS stamp, which focuses on farmers and their equipment. Several of my new friends own farms, which was not typical in SE WI. Found a definition of 'food' in the dictionary. The oven mitts are part of a partial set of clear stamps I found at Goodwill.
What do we need to survive? Water, sunlight, sleep and food! May we all have plenty of it! |
