 | | Kia has us painting Chinese Lantern flowers in the Watercolor challenge; the tutorial is by Olga Timofeeva.
I love Olga's dark colors of her background, but I went with a busy background instead (it was part of a leftover piece from this week's color challenge). These were fun to paint, and I plan to come back and try them again when I can add more shading and depth. After the painting was dried, I added a doodled border and some berries.
The Chinese lantern plant is supposed to bring good luck. If I grew these flowers, the deer or rabbits would eat them for sure. |
