I had fun by painting these lantern flowers. I did struggle a bit with the background. I ended up with a big bloom and the more I tried to work it the more I struggled. I finally gave up and let it rest and then did the stencil technique we did a couple of weeks ago. But I was still not happy so I added some darker color by painting over the stencil. Added a scripture.

I like the texture the stenciling brings it makes you think trellis for the vine to climb on kind of a thing. I love the bold lining you gave it all as well

That is really lovely. I like the contrast with the blue background. I might try that the next time I use my dies. In real life I just harvested all mine a couple of weeks ago and brought them in before the heavy rains destroyed them.
