Imaginative Bird

Poster: tweedcurtain

Had this partial daisy from a 12 X 12 page I had cut up. Die cut an assortment of script words to layer on background. Bird was embossed with a crackle embossing folder, highlighted with gold ink. Cage antiqued with assorted metal inks. Zig zag border is part of Spellbinders Tangled Threads die set - punches holes that align with the faux stitching.

Great colors love the embossed words and the stamped words, paper piecing, dies, and textures. Such wonderful elements that are so fun to design with!

The textures and layering in this piece are absolutely captivating—the crackle embossing on the bird paired with the gold highlights adds such a rich, vintage charm. I love how the zig zag border echoes the stitching theme and brings cohesion to the collage. Every element feels thoughtfully placed, and the interplay of script and imagery creates a story that invites closer inspection.
