Pat has us sending cards to our own MariLynn who is recovering from a serious health battle. I have always adored MariLynn, but I have to tell you that her positive attitude, grateful approach to life, and prayerful spirit during this health crisis was AMAZING.
Pat suggested we include butterflies and also suggested an option of doing Mixed Media since MariLynn is a MIX challenge hostess.
I picked an Eastern Comma Butterfly although I had to do some altering of the design on my butterfly stamp with a Sharpie Pen and by cutting in more frilly edges. I didn't quite get the colors right but it is pretty so we are going with it. I did the background MIX style with four ink types including the Sharpie, Acrylic paint, and some modeling paste. I also doodled a border because MariLynn loves borders.

Your butterfly is beautiful and I sure know MariLynn loves doodling borders. She will love that you did mixed media, also. This card will be sure to give MariLynn much joy.

Great card! Your mixed media background is gorgeous. I love the results of using paste and stencils together -- it adds such an interesting texture to a card.
