MMTPT900-Butterflies

My butterfly card for Teapot Tuesday. The butterfly I was inspired by is White M Hairstreak though the shape is more like a swallowtail. There are a few layers to this card. I embossed the blue bg with Stampin Up dots folder, then added a layer of black linen. The brown vellum is striped and mounted on a scrap of white to allow the colour to show through. I tried to do some generational stamping on the top portion but am not totally happy with the results. Hubby asked "What happened to your stamp?" LOL. The scalloped border is stamped then cut to show the shape. Enjoy!

I think your attempt at generational stamping gives a nice vintage look, it reminded me of some Provocraft paper I really liked. The contrast of the blue butterflies is super, and I like the assymetric positioning.
