This week Brenda is the hostess and she has found a video
The artist shows us how to use salt and a magic eraser to add texture to the paintings. We have given you 282 videos on water coloring, and this is my favorite one. I would say you need to use good paper. The reason is that you will have it very wet and then you do some scrubbing with the eraser. First the salt worked for me. Yah! I don't always have success when doing the salt method. Take away color also worked using the magic eraser. You must come and try these techniques. TFL Have fun!

Really gorgeous, Linda, and now I wish I had done the Leaf Impressions.
Your leaves and background look great.

I can't quite decide which side of your painting I like the best. The painted leaves are beautiful, but the salt leafy shapes and the ghosted leaves are so beautiful with the light showing through them in a glow!
Gorgeous!

The way you've layered texture and light in this piece is absolutely mesmerizing. The salt technique adds such a magical, organic feel to the background, and those ghosted leaves seem to glow from within—like autumn memories caught in watercolor. Your choice of colors feels both rich and serene, and the balance between the stenciled impressions and painted leaves creates a beautiful harmony. This is a masterclass in subtlety and atmosphere.
