I started to do a cityscape that looked more like the artist in the video but I decided to go a different direction. I am hoping that you can tell which city was my inspiration. I had fun painting this. I decided to embrace the sketch feeling by leaving the pencil marks. I focused on reflections and perspective. And shadows. This month my daughter and granddaughter are joining me in doing Inktober. The prompt for today is reckless. I was not sure how to paint reckless. So I decided to just add this verse from Proverbs to my cityscape. At first I thought it was a little incongruent but the more I thought about it I realized that they last time I was down town St Louis there was a lot of reckless behavior. Wonderful Journal page and how fun you added the arch to make it St Louis. That quote does capture the reckless feel some cities exhibit lately. I really like that you took it in your own direction. Very cre8tive
