Just follow the steps in the tutorial and use what you've got, I like the contrast with black on this one

Using a folder with an open space in the middle was a great idea, Anita. The silhouetted deer looks fab against that glowing background. The hints of snow are a nice addition.

Your faux patina looks like an icy forest around the deer.
