hi there.
Here is my card for the WT today; Big Impacts

For all those that suffered a tragic loss on this day.

Today is a tough day for me as it's the last day I had my Dad. He died on Sept 18th, but seeing all that happened on this day in the US, brought back so many stressful memories for him...he served overseas in the Second World War for 2 1/2 years. He watched it over and over again until he had a stroke and died. He saw so many horrific things while oversea as a gunner. He didn't talk much about anything and those poor solders came back to Canada with no counselling or direction and were just expected to fit back into society, get a job and carry on. I miss him everyday.
For my card, I used a new stencil called Leafy Heart Frame. I inked with fall colours and added the sentiment.

Karen, this is so heartfelt and touching. A beautiful sympathy card. I am so sorry for the loss of your Father after 9/11 and what he had to go through after the war. There are so many people walking around out there that endure the horrors of war with no help, no real acknowledgement, and few people who seem to care at all. So sad.

You're right, there are not words, just sadness. It is hard losing someone, and I sympathize with you. Your card is a wonderful card in honor of your father.

The loss of a parent is such a deep loss that can never be explained or even understood. I miss mine every day, and sad days like this one profoundly affect us all. YOur bright card brings cheer as well as sympathy.

My Dad was also a WWII vet, served in the Philippines for three years. He died young at 66, 35 years ago this past August. Such a talented man! I'm so sorry about your Dad.
Your sympathy card is lovely and bright in these dark times.

There are memories that touch us deeply often bringing that touch of sadness with it, and this sentiment is so touching. These feelings simply cannot be spoken in words. That is a time I am thankful to the Holy Spirit that interprets those groans that simply cannot be communicated in any other way. Yet He carries these wordless efforts to the Father. Such a beautiful card, Karen, and that stencil is definitely on my wish list this month.
