For this week's Teaparty, we are challenged by Pat (casep) to create Peaceful Gardens for our receipient, Marsha, who is a friend of MaryJo's (Icela52).
I love to color with colored pencils, especially on Kraft CS, and I thought, hmm, since Marsha's favorite color is blue, why not try coloring on blue CS? Stamped the coneflower (echinacea) with Versamark and heat embossed with white EP on Misty Moonlight CS. Colored with Derwent Chromaflow and Prismacolor white colored pencils--they blend so well! I am pleased with the results, even tho I colored over some of the embossing, and it wouldn't wipe off.
Stamped the butterfly on vellum with Versamark, and heat embossed with Deep Blue EP. Die-cut it out, and adhered just the body to the card front, to add a little dimension.
Stamped the Bible verse with the PSX Indigo ink. Lightly blended Navy ink around the edges of both CS pieces. Added two rows of lace at the bottom to soften the look.
Wishing Marsha peaceful days as she is surrounded by all of our peaceful garden cards! TFL!

I love the pinkish color on the flower tips against the blue background and card -so soft and peaceful. The lace is perfect - I have tons of lace from my mothers sewing old box and never think to use it..

Liz, I just love the lace you added to your card for Marsha after you added the coneflowers and colored them in with pink just beautiful. Your butterfly looks great against the pink in the flowers.
