It is Wednesday and I have no Watercolor Paper - how could that happen? Had to punt and paint this on some regular white cardstock - urgh. I will be stoppiing off at the craft store today.
In the color challenge, Karen has us playing with Pretty Peacock, Wild Wheat, and Lost Lagoon. I added in some neutrals and a green (ATG dessert option is the green).
In the Watercolor Challenge, Stacy has us painting stacks of books inspired by a tutorial done by Olga Koelsch. It was relatively easy - I think my difficulties came from the poor paper more than my inability to do anything straight without a ruler.
I added titles to some of my favorite books. Great challenges, Stacy and Karen.

Wonderful sentiment for all your super painted books. I thought you would like this WCW challenge as much as you like books and reading. Your painting did fine on the cardstock because I am guessing you didn't get it very wet.

You have done very well for not having wc paper, Nancy! Is there anything you actually can't do, artistically speaking? I like the added titles and the sentiment as well~

Great painting on the non-watercolor paper. If one doesn't use too much water, it can be done. Thanks for sharing that idea with us. Your books look great with the colors, and I like how you did the book titles. Terrific job, Nancy. TFS

Fantastic painting, especially not having watercolor paper. Beautifully done in the challenge colors. I like the sponging around the edge, which draws the eye in to the stack of books. Amazing quote! I like it all. Great card!

This looks amazing despite the lack of watercolor paper! Wonderful use of the challenge colors too. Remarkably Bright Creatures is also one of my favorite books - I need to check out the others!
