 | | F4A811 - How Now Brown Cow? (use something brown on your creation )
For my card, I used the color brown in the patterned paper for the frame and in the fur of the dog.
This card is for Grandparents Day in the U.S. (falls on the Sunday after Labor Day), with a TWIST. The card is from my dog to my dad for Grand-paw-rents Day! Yes, we are that kind of family! And my dad loves puns, so he'll appreciate the sentiment with the fan image.
I started with stamping the pawprint background using a similar ink color as the cardstock for a tone on tone look.
I die cut the frame from patterned paper and from the pawprint piece, so I could inlay the center. I have extra supplies in reverse to make another card - the frame has the stamped pawprints and the center is the patterned paper.
I stamped, colored, and die cut the dog and fan, giving him pink cheeks to match his pink tongue. I used a black glaze pen to highlight the closed eyes, and a white gel pen for some accent marks. I stamped squiggly lines from another set to show the air from the fan. |
