 | | I have always been a fan of Betty Wright's work(gbedwright). She seems to love florals as much as I do, and we were both followers of Flourishes (and Marcella Hawley's lovely art) and I remember the lovely cards Betty would enter into the Tuesday Flourishes challenges that I like to take part in. Although the card I was inspired by from her gallery is dated 2010, 2008 was filled with multilayered cards and that wonderful Basic Grey design paper. I used some on this card because I still have a few in my paper stash. This was one of my favorite stamps from Flourishes and I still have all of the many wonderful stamps I purchased from them, and it was nice to use one of them for this challenge today. This was a fun idea, Linda, to go back and revisit some of the beauties that are still in the SCS galleries.
In that mailing is more expensive nowdays, I used lesser layers, embellishments, and ribbons, to conserve the extra cost of postage. I used the smaller sweet pea image that was included in that set that Betty used, and I changed the colors and layout some.
