WT1067 Vintage Postcard

My initial thought was the faux patina because I love that tutorial, and a fun Penny Black stamp, but I ran with cracked glass and a vintage look because I have been wanting to revisit that technique.
My base was stamped with a TH swirly stamp in a brown and sponged with Antique Linen because a white base was too stark. My green layer was something from my background box embossed and buffed with Inka Gold (copper). For my main panel I stamped the postcard background in brown, sponged it with lighter colours, and then added the bird stamp in black. Three layers of UTEE for the cracked glass, and then I added a sentiment over the first address line of the postcard.

You have created a masterpiece here! The green layer with copper embossing reminds me of the Statue of Liberty, something near and dear to my heart. The postcard itself is beautifully nostalgic, and the bird adds such a whimsical touch. Love the cracked glass technique - I need to do that again!

What a gorgeous card. It truly looks old. Love the cracked glass technique. It's been a long time since I've done that technique. May have to revisit it soon thanks to you.
