LeeMae is our featured stamper this week. The challenge can be found here. FS967 {8/17/25} Some may or may not.. by justwritedesigns at Splitcoaststampers
Here is my inspiration from LeeMae's gallery. HYCCT1522 Wrinkle Free Thank You by adopted2 at Splitcoaststampers
Instead of using water with the distress oxide inks, I used the Unicorn Sparkle metallic mist.
I changed the orientation of the card and the colors. I also changed the stamp set.
I kept the technique the same and kept it a one layer card except for the card base layer.
Originally I used the pink and yellow and it made the beautiful orange color. I wanted a pop of color so I added wilted violet sparingly on my card. I added a bit of water to the panel when it was dried to get some splatter. Versafine is the perfect ink to use on watercolor paper like this.

Wonderful wrinkle free distress background, Sue, and I love your stamps. Lee Mae's card captured a tearful mood and so does yours - impressive. Lovely case. Life is sometimes very hard. Hugz

I think adding that hint of Wilted Violet was a brilliant move! I think it adds a richness and tones down the bg just enough that it truly does become a prairie sunset rather than a raging prairie fire . . . .

A beautiful inked background for your lovely silhouette grasses - and that sentiment is wonderful - and SO truthful!

The background you created is so wonderful - the wilted violet really caught my eye. I agree that Versafine makes beautiful crisp impressions and the fine detail of the prairie grass really shines. Thanks for choosing one of my cards for inspiration!

The warmth and depth in your background are absolutely stunning—like watching the last golden light melt into the horizon. The addition of wilted violet was such a thoughtful touch; it adds a quiet drama that makes the prairie grasses feel even more poetic. I love how you honored LeeMae’s inspiration while making the scene entirely your own. This card feels like a moment of reflection captured in ink.
