Jen (Jennifrann) is our hostess for this week's Teaparty, Forest Friends. Her challenge is to create cards of encouragement featuring woodland critters for Jeffrey, a 5-year-old boy who is non-verbal and autistic and who recently endured major surgery and now has a new diagnosis of diabetes. That's a lot for a 5-year-old to handle! Jeffrey enjoys going camping with his family, and when I read that the first thing that popped into my head was "if you're going camping, you might need a tent!" So, a Tent Card for Jeffrey is what I created! With a little bear contemplating the woods, to fit the theme of Forest Friends.
The tree PP and the embossed piece were in my stash. The tree PP wasn't quite wide enough to fill the background, so I layered it on the EF'd piece.
Stamped the trees and their trunks on Very Vanilla CS and fussy cut them all out. Stamped the bear on the Stonehenge CPP with Vintage Sepia, colored him, and fussy-cut him out.
Die-cut some slopes from some green patterned PP. Followed the directions in the Tent Card tutorial to create the scene, adding a slope and the bear and a couple of trees to the inside fold for dimension to the card.
I hope Jeffrey will enjoy the tent card I've created for him! It was a joy to make! TFL!

Great card! That tent fold is perfect for this challenge. I love the scene you created -- the colors are so pretty and peaceful. It looks like a picture in a storybook.
