Ways to Use It Challenge: Anything but 4 (sides) for a card
Bible Verse Challenge: Psalm 32:10
When I saw the challenge, I thought of these Carousel note cards that I got from Stampin Up back in 2008. They are one layer and do not open up; however, they were designed to be a note card to decorate on the front and write on the back.
The notes came in three colors (all retired now) with envelopes in neutral Chocolate chip. I used a Wild Wasabi card. I could have folded them in half as the beautiful examples, but then the envelope would have been too big.
I had this DSP on my desk. I selected a pattern, die-cut a deckle circle and stamped a verse on the lighter sky area. The scallop edge on the card needed something, so I pierced along each scallop. I used a template to guide me. I trimmed a strip of DSP that was cut away to decorate the envelope.
Fun project. Now I know what to do with these notes I have been saving all these years. Let the papers do the work. I need fast projects. Caring for my disabled DH and babysitting our 8 month old DGD keeps me pretty busy. Thanks for looking!

This is a beautiful way to use those. Love your verse.

Diane, this is a beautiful note card. I love how you used the scene by adding scripture to the open sky space. Cool matching envelope too. My heart goes out to you as you juggle the needs of your husband and little granddaughter. Big hugs.

Don't you love it when you finally figure out how to use something you've had for next to forever? I think this is a wonderful use of both the card and the lovely paper. I'm a great believer in letting pretty paper do the work.

Nice work with the piercing, that adds a lot. I think the only brass template I ever got from SU was a scalloped circle, I must look it out. How fun that the challenge has given your a great way to use those old notecards.

What a brilliant revival of these vintage note cards! The piercing along the scallops adds such graceful detail, and placing the scripture against that sky-toned deckle circle gives it a peaceful, uplifting focal point. I love how the coordinating DSP decorates both the card and envelope—it feels beautifully complete. A thoughtful and elegant design with heart.
