 Roberta's challenge:
The Night The Pecan Pie Turned Blue!
NIGHT OF NAVY
BALMY BLUE
PECAN PIE
You are always welcome to use the neutral shades from Stampin'up in addition to the challenge colors. You can find the list of neutrals here.

DESSERT: FLOWERS-Think of blue flowers with brown leaves. It really is a lovely combination.
I loved the title of today's challenge: The Night The Pecan Pie Turned Blue!
I started with Pecan Pie designer series paper and added a bit of blue to the left of the image to complement the sentiment. I distressed the edges and colored them to mimic the Pecan Pie designer series paper.
I stamped the detail stamp using 1" ink cubes and used navy for the flower and olive for the stem/leaves. I stamped the flower in balmy blue and added a Pecan Pie center.
I stamped balmy blue dots to the right of the flower. I used my distressing tool to distress the image and sentiment panels. They were colored with Pecan Pie ink using a dauber. The sentiment was stamped in Night of Navy. Wink of Stella was added to the flower. I added a bow with a glue dot and added Tinsel Gems to the card.

Very attractive card, Sue, and Beautifully created! I Love the distressing, your single daisy and the sparkly ribbon/bow, but what I Love most is the sentiment! I'm one that doesn't need much to please me. I find joy in the little things~
I want you to know that the title came to my head so quickly and I laughed about it just like you did. My DH said, "You're going to use that?" Then I laughed some more.

Lovely "dewy" flower on this card with a country feeling....maybe it is
the wood dp panel. : ) Wonderful sentiment too.

Terrific design for the challenge colors. Love the single daisy with the woodgrain background and the strip of paper on the side. Lovely card.

Sue, what a pretty card! I especially like the layout with the strip of blue at the left and woodgrain on the right. Lovely touches to the edges of the floral panel, too!

I love the rustic look Sue. I can almost see a little flower peeking between some old barn boards.
