 | | Kim (berlycece) has a VSN challenge for us, It's Natural To Grieve. She is asking us "to honor our dear stamping friend, Polly (peeps321), who was such an active participant in VSN. She hosted challenges, chatted with us on Zoom, and shared encouraging words in the gallery" by CASEing one of Polly's cards and making a sympathy card.
I cased this card of Polly's as my inspiration: MMTPT843 For Betty
I changed the blended colors that Polly used, and made the orientation landscape. Added a butterfly instead of a bird.
Stamped the verse on Very Vanilla CS, and fussy-cut the shape. Die-cut the foliage and butterfly from the watercolor paper, and colored them with the Distress inks (smooshed them onto my craft mat and spritzed with a little water; used a paintbrush to color the pieces).
I do miss seeing Polly's creations, and reading her comments. I'm so glad that we still have her gallery for inspiration! TFL!
