The challenge tied in beautifully with a sight from last Friday. When delivering on Friday one elderly lady, Yvonne, had beautiful pansies in the tub by her front door mixed with some summer bedding. The colours really caught my eye and I have tried to capture them here.

Wonderful watercoloring of the pansy, Janine. Your painting is like a description that I once heard about pansy flower petals: The front three are like a mother and her two daughters(similar) and the two back ones, like stepdaughters(can be different). You did terrific watercoloring to show veining.
