 | | Linda is our hostess in the Color Challenge this week, and she has given us three beautiful colors and an "anything goes" dessert option. For me, that option usually ends up being a fourth color. Linda's colors are Pretty Peacock, Peach Pie and Summer Splash. I had no idea what color to add, so I consulted my color wheel. It suggested a split-complementary in the purple family. Really? I pulled out my swatch samples and tried several purples with the three Challenge colors. I decided Petunia Pop looked best, so that's how I got my fourth color. I think it works!
i used the April kit from Simon Says Stamp for my floral design and greeting, including stamps, stencil, and dies. I blended Summer Splash ink on the edges of the background panel. I cut the arches from random DS paper and gold foil, and popped them up with foam tape. Added the greeting and a couple of brass flat butterflies.
These are such pretty colors together, and the dessert option gives lots of possibilities for a unique design. Please join us!
