Also, this is a second card for the Color Challenge. The colors are Lost Lagoon, Flirty Flamingo, and Lemon Lolly with a favorite embellishment as the dessert option. On this card, my dessert is die-cuts in the corners and Wink of Stella on the wings and flower centers.
I like to use a beverage napkin under my teacup on the saucer. I buy napkin designs for the seasons or holidays. When I looked closer at the napkins I have been using for beginning of springtime, I saw the Challenge Colors were represented beautifully. I used the Felted Cardstock technique tutorial here on SCS to create a panel with one of the napkins. I cut a piece for my card to include the sweet butterfly.
For the sketch, I used the napkin piece for the top layer, layered on a dry embossed Lost Lagoon panel. Although I used Basic White under the napkin for the technique, the finished product looked better on Very Vanilla, so I used that color for the card base. I used die-cuts for the corners. Great sketch!
Thanks for looking!
